Do you have a research project and do not know where to begin? If this is the case, you may want to check out our Research and Topic Guides, aka LibGuides! These guides, while not an exhaustive list of resources on a topic, do offer users a good place to begin. These guides are regularly updated and include sources in a variety of formats. For more information on our research guides, please watch the following tutorial.
The Library and Information Commons subscribes to a large number of academic databases. Our Gateway Search allows users to search many of them using a single search. However, sometimes it is beneficial to search just the database or databases that are most appropriate to your topic. In these cases, you can find the access link you need by using our A-Z Database list. For more information on our A-Z Database list, please see the following tutorial.
If you have ever wondered if our library has the full-text of a specific magazine, newspaper, journal or eBook, be sure to check out our Publication Finder (formerly known as the Journal Finder). This useful tool will let you know if we have full-text access, the date range of the full-text availability and which database the resource is located in. Check out the following short tutorial on using the Publication Finder.
