EGCC's membership in OhioLINK not only brings the ability to read excellent information resources, it also gives us an opportunity to contribute to those resources through the publishing process. Below are the current available opportunities to publish in Open Access and Hybrid Open Access Journals through our OhioLINK membership.
OhioLINK is embarking upon an agreement with Cambridge University Press with two major benefits for students and faculty at institutions of higher education in Ohio. This deal provides expanded access to important published research from Cambridge University Press and is the first such “Read & Publish” deal with an open access publishing component for OhioLINK.
Starting January 1, 2022, students, faculty, and staff at most OhioLINK member institutions will have access to current articles published in all 400+ journals published by Cambridge University Press. An important new component of this agreement is the ability for authors at OhioLINK member institutions to publish open access (OA) journal articles at Cambridge University Press-published journals at no additional charge to either the author or the institution.
In addition to OhioLINK member institutions' current access to all Wiley journal titles, OhioLINK has negotiated an upgraded agreement with Wiley that offers open access publishing benefits for authors at no cost.
Starting in March 2022, students, faculty, and staff at most OhioLINK member institutions will have the ability to publish open access (OA) journal articles in more than 1,400 hybrid journals published by Wiley at no additional cost to either the author or the institution.
Fully open access journals are not eligible for the open access publishing benefits under this deal.
OhioLINK has entered into a three-year unlimited transformative agreement with society publisher IOP Publishing. Beginning January 1, 2023, the agreement enables authors affiliated OhioLINK member institutions to publish their work open access at no cost to them.
