I joined the EGCC Library team in March of 2020 just weeks before the “Flatten the Curve” initiative. Over the course of my career, I have worked in a variety of library settings including correctional, academic, special and school libraries. Prior to becoming a librarian, I worked as a Firefighter/EMT-I while working on my BA and my MLIS degrees.
I received my BA in History, with a minor in Business Management from Franciscan University in Steubenville. I received my MLIS from Kent State University. I also currently maintain my Maine Library Media Specialist certification. Some of past certifications include a Hooked on Fishing-Not on Drugs (HOFNOD) Instructor certificate (Maine), the Ohio Firefighter II, EMT-Basic (from Jefferson Community College – now EGCC), EMT-Intermediate, and the Hazmat Technician certification.
When I’m not working, I enjoy spending time with my family, in the outdoors, hobby farming, and tinkering with some woodworking and carpentry projects.
